Anomaly Guide#98
Emergency Stop Rotation Tilt Sensor

First determine which device triggered the anomaly by examining the anomaly message on the application's computer console (within the Metalprogetti B2K/BAM application).
For Uniform Conveyor Systems running B2K
The anomaly record will contain both the CONVEYOR number as well as a POINT description which indicates the faulting device (arm, gate, etc).
For Storage Systems running BAM
The device ID is made up of 4 digits - the first 2 indicate the conveyor ID, the second 2 indicate the device ID. In the following examples, XX represents conveyor ID while the last 2 digits represent the device. Main conveyor anomalies will always be XX-00, extraction arm anomalies will always be XX-01 through XX-10 depending on how many arms are installed, and feedrail anomalies will always be XX-11 as demonstrated below.
Extraction anomalies will show as XX-01 up to XX-10 | Anomaly 98 Emergency Stop Rotation Tilt Sensor 01-03 = conveyor #1, arm #3
Possible Causes Checks to Perform
Extractor ramp has jammed into the conveyor belt If extraction ramp is stuck inside the conveyor belt, perform the following steps to free the jam:

1) Shutdown controlling computer and turn off main power at the panel
2) With computer still off, turn on main power and push the green start button
3) Use manual rotation knob to carefully "nudge" the belt in reverse to free the jam

If belt is damaged in any fashion - attempt field repair or replace section.
Extractor clapet collided with extraction ramp Shut off air pressure by turning the valve on the regulator to the off position - then manually actuate the extractor clapet up and down to determine if it collides with the extraction ramp.

If clapet physically collides with the ramp, contact Metalprogetti Support department for further assistance.

If clapet does not collide with the ramp, gently pull down on the ramp and repeat the test. If clapet still does not collide with the ramp, proceed with the following checks.
Extraction arm tilt ramp sensor is set too sensitive Locate and identify the small proximity sensor above the arm that faces downwards toward the extraction ramp. Once identified, gently pry downwards on the ramp to determine how much force is needed before the sensor's indicator LED lights up.

The indicator LED on the sensor should not light up unless significant downward force is applied to the ramp. The ramp will pivot slightly during extractions which can cause false 98 anomalies if the sensor is set too sensitive.

If analysis suggests sensor is too sensitive, loosen sensor clamping bolts on back side of arm and adjust sensor slightly upwards.
False arm tilt ramp signal or other electrical problem Contact Metalprogetti Support department for further assistance.
